The shielded RJ-45 couplers are able to extend twisted pair Cat.6a cables. They provide the best transmission characteristics for pair combination 1/2 and 3/6, as used by all Ethernet versions. The metal housing protects the signals against electrical and magnetic interferences. There are 8 contacts, connected 1:1.
