The DG-1 ME is a microprocessor-based detector for natural gas (methane). It is recommended to install it in areas where a methane leak is likely, such as near heating devices, cookers, or ovens that operate with this gas (in boiler rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.), as well as at gas connections and gas meters. Due to the properties of methane, which is lighter than air, the detector should be mounted high, directly under the ceiling of the monitored room. The digital gas detection algorithm and temperature compensation feature ensure correct operation over a wide range of ambient temperatures and provide immunity against false alarms. The device detects dangerous methane concentrations in the room, particularly above the threshold of 20% of the lower explosion limit (10% for pre-warning), and triggers an alarm. With the built-in buzzer and yellow LED, the DG-1 ME detector can operate as a standalone detection and alarm system, but it is also suitable for use as part of an alarm system. The self-diagnosis function continuously monitors the gas sensor for power supply status and proper operation, ensuring reliable performance of the detector.
