Halogen-free fiber optic patch cable with steel reinforcement in OM4 quality for high-performance fiber optic cabling in superior ROLINE quality. The OM4 fiber is an optimized 50μm fiber with extended bandwidth. It is used to enhance system performance for existing applications up to 10 Gbit/s, as well as for future applications with 40 and 100 Gbit/s. This fiber type supports Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and OIF applications. The OM4 fiber is suitable for longer distances of over 550 m at 10 Gbit/s and 300 m at 40 Gbit/s. With an effective modal bandwidth (EMB, also known as laser bandwidth) of 4700 MHz-km (far exceeding IEEE requirements), the OM4 fiber is also particularly well-suited for shorter distances in data centers and for high-performance computing applications.
