The KrAZ-214 was a Soviet truck produced in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk between 1959 and 1967. Its predecessor was manufactured from 1954 to 1959 in the Russian city of Yaroslavl. The KrAZ-214 had a 7-tonne carrying capacity and could transport special loads, such as tanks, on a trailer, with a gross weight of up to 50 tonnes. A series of special military trucks were produced based on the KrAZ-214, including power shovels, water tankers, pontoon and bridge carriers, and fuel servicing trucks for strategic rockets. In addition to the USSR, the KrAZ-214 was exported to several allies of the Soviet Union, including East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Cuba, Egypt, Algeria, and others. More than 30,000 trucks of this type were produced.
