Very challenging model kit of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (3.0 liters displacement, super lightweight). The elegantly designed vehicle, with its long hood and characteristic gullwing doors, also captivated the American audience, resulting in about 75 percent of the 1,400 models produced being shipped overseas. The fastest sports car of its time reached nearly 260 km/h.
