With this adapter, modern high-speed networks for data communication can be established even in buildings without structured network cabling. The extender utilizes the existing CAT 5e, CAT 6, or 2-wire lines in the building for data transmission.

This extender now allows twisted telephone lines to be used for high-performance data communication. This is particularly beneficial when WLAN or powerline solutions are limited by the building's infrastructure. Depending on the technical conditions, transmission rates of up to 100 MBit/s can be achieved over a cable length of up to 400 meters.

This adapter is used when modern IP cameras need to be installed on an existing 2-wire line or CAT 5e/CAT 6 line.

The network extension is designed so that power can be supplied via a USB port of the computer or notebook. An additional power supply is therefore not required.

Both the 2-wire ports and the power connection are equipped with terminal blocks. This protects the cables from accidental disconnection, which is a significant advantage in installations where cables are difficult to lay.
