After 5 years of Roomba i7+ I am impressed by how much robot hoovers have developed/improved.
The Xiaomi X20 Pro is only about half as loud and the cleaning result is x times better

Switched from a 4 years old Xiaomi robot vacuum and the difference is pretty big. Auto dust collection and the mopping features are great. It also detects bigger carpets and doesn’t try to mop them which is awesome.
Obstacle detection could still be improved, because the bathroom carpet is still an enemy, but so far it didn’t get stuck on it at least. Long hair is still tanged on the brush, but at least it’s easier to clean than on the older model.
The dust collection is really loud, so be prepared for that, but the mop drying is quiet so you won’t be disturbed in those 2 hours of drying.

I was looking for a robot that works reliably without any apps or WiFi connection and this one is just perfect. I had several cleaning robots (all Xiaomi) in the past, but they were nowhere near as reliable.
This is the first robot where I feel like it works for and not with me. In other words, you press a button and it does its job, does not get stuck, doesn't require you to move everything out of its way and just works without any extra help. It also has no problem crossing really tall doorsteps (at least 2cm).
Obstacle detection is really good, but motion planning could be a bit better (the movement is disorganized at times). The mopping function also works surprisingly well, but for really dirty floors or dried stains, you will still have to help with the cleaning.
One issue I have with the robot is that it's rather slow, but it's acceptable, since it's quiet and works very reliably. Cleaning 60m^2 takes over an hour, but I have some complicated obstacles for the robot to overcome. The other small inconvenience is that the base station relies on disposable bags while it could simply use a plastic bin you can empty similarly to the one inside of the robot. This creates an issue with getting consumables for the robot.
