TP-Link Mc220l
TP-Link Mc220l
Works wonderfully.
The description talks about different wavelengths and maximum distances. The exact glass standard that is used, but depends on the SPF module, which must be purchased.
For Fiber7 (1000BASE-BX-U, 1-fiber, singlemode, max. 10KM) you need an additional TL-SM321B.
For 1000Base-SX (2-fiber, multimode, max 0.5KM) it needs L-SM311LM.
Works with Sunrise in Zurich
16.01.2019: I finally switched to Init7 and was able to make use of this. I'm very happy and you will be too. Just be sure to have the switch on the back set to auto and you might also need to wait up to 1 hour. The best resource I found for fiber to the home, which includes information for Init7, Sunrise, and Swisscom is here:
https://community.ubnt.com/t5...
08.08.2016: This relatively low rating is completely based on the fact that it does not work with Sunrise according to my 08.08.2016 call with technical support. They explained that their equipment registration system is very restrictive, and even a firmware upgrade to authorized equipment can result in their system blocking a device. I tried cloning the MAC address from their equipment, but that did not fix the problem.
Works without problems with Fiber7. Attention: For Fiber7, the switch at the back of the unit must be set to "Auto".

Works wonderfully for me in conjunction with Sunrise-Fiber Gbit Internet.
Hardware:
-Sunrise GIBC converter SFP-31W2A (SM-10)-DR (Officially from Sunrise -> IMPORTANT!!!)
-TP-LINK MC220L, 1x SFP 1000Base-SX/LX/LH, 1x RJ45 1000Base-T (Media Converter)
-Synology RT2600AC router with current firmware SRM 1.2-7742 Update 4
Apparently it depends on where you live though. In certain locations there seems to be a native Sunrise Fiber connection where it may not work. In other places, the fiber connection is provided by Swisscom and "rented" by Sunrise, so probably also here (Lucerne area).
Have made the following settings on my RT2600AC router...
1. under Network Center -> Internet -> Connection open the item ISP Settings (IPTV & VoIP)...
2. click on Activate IPTV/VoIP and set Mode: Manual
3. enter VID: 10 for LAN 1 & 2 (Internet only) and click OK. (LAN 3 and LAN 4 should be left empty)
4. under Network Center -> Internet -> Connection open the item ISP Settings and make the following entries:
Hostname (Option 12): sunrise
DHCP client ID (option 61): dslforum.org
DHCP class ID (option 60): Fast5360-sunrise
DHCP client option: left blank
MAC Address: Entered the MAC address of my original sunrise internet box here.
If this is all correct, I don't know, in any case it works for me like this... :-)
Maybe you could still optimize something, am open for tips.
I get in my network with these settings in speed tests values between 300-500 Mbit / s downstream and upstream with WLAN-AC (5Ghz). Not measured with cable due to the Matebook X Pro's lack of RJ45.
