Massive problem: As far as I know, practically the entire T4UH V1.0 model series has problems with 5GHZ: does not recognise, unstable, etc. (sporadically) despite Win10 drivers. There are enough forums. TP-Link is silent. Apparently the problem lies with Realtek, which only releases drivers half-heartedly. I'm not sure if the problem also occurs with non-Win10 systems. In my case, both PCs with the latest Win10, have identical problem. Forums also report it.
V2.0 not yet available in Europe. Have changed the design and the "modem" certainly too.
TP-Link is really good, also have a router. But this slip-up, even if they can't be held responsible for the fault of their suppliers, is worrying.

Hope your adapter works ;) It makes me furious to only need 2.4GHZ with a 1Gbit line.

I bought the device to connect a desktop with Windows 10 64 bit to the internet.
The driver download (dated 1.12.2015) was necessary (the packaging only certifies compatibility with Windows 8) and went without a hitch (http://www.tp-link.com/en...).
During the setup process, you are asked to plug in the adapter - it went straight away. Therefore, full recommendation.
I did not test the range and OS X compatibility (but drivers are available!). In terms of performance, it is sufficient for HD streams and so far it runs reliably.

kelleralex1's review is out of date, since 1 December there is the official Windows 10 driver from TP-Link. Works flawlessly (both 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi) and has a better range than the TP-Link T2UH.

Useful for connecting devices that do not have 802.11 ac Wi-Fi (practically, to take advantage of a strong 5 GHz signal)

Works, and is more reliable with Windows 7 than my earlier Netgear dongle. I have not yet tried it with ac.
There is obviously a current win10 driver but unfortunately it does not work.
I could not even install the driver.
Google then also brings to light many problems with the device.
