if waterproofing is not an issue (or then with optional rain cover), then definitely buy if you are looking for a backpack with good "organisational ability" (laptop and tablet compartments, small parts compartments with and without zip)Pro
- many different compartments in a practical size
- thinkpad W520 15.6" with protruding battery fits without problems
- + surface pro 3 also fits perfectly (also together with the thinkpad)
- + comfortable even if relatively heavy

- zippers do not make the most waterproof impression, not tested yet
When received, it appears much smaller than in the illustration....
When you receive it, it looks much smaller than in the picture. But don't let that put you off: Your expectations will not be disappointed when you try it out! Also, read reviews on the internet - this backpack is extremely popular, a successful model.

I bought this before going to Peru. It was a very tough decision because the voyage was long and difficult and I wanted to carry safely my laptop and camera and other basic stuff.
I have a small lumix camera and a macbook pro 15 inch.
It had to hold also passport a rain jacket and a worm filler.
It did the job great and in spite of the weight nothing broke.
I used it heavily for over 3 years after which the zipper broke but it could have lasted longer if I didn't force it.
I recommend it over all my previous backpacks.
The split in the middle is odd but is better then one on top. don't put important stuff there thou! It is easy to unzip it.
otherwise you can protect most of your stuff by putting them in the inner compartments. it is also nice looking and feels sturdy.
I had not ruptures at the seems even thou it had it's share of going through everything from jungle to salt lake and desert sand.
i didn't feel the weight and it fits well with someone smaller then 170cm.
Somehow I never had to wash it on the outside. it remain clean i just needed to tap off the dust from time to time.
The surface of the backpack also looks scratch resistant as it looks even now almost the same. The material looks a bit softer to the touch but only a little.
If I would change something is probably the front zip into something on the interior and with more pockets. Otherwise i'm satisfied.Pro
