Already my 5th NAS from Synology.
Replaces the defective DS1815+ (first defective NAS after 4 years of continuous use). The migration from DS1815+ to DS1819+ went without a hitch. With the DS1819+ I now also use the possibility of 2x 512 GB SSD (M.2) cache. Unfortunately, the RAM expansion from the DS1815+ is not compatible with the DS1819+.
Otherwise nothing to complain about, super satisfied as always.
I'm curious about the performance with the M.2s and the later RAM expansion.Pro

Excellent product, efficient and easy to install
I bought a DS1819+ to replace a DS1515+ that broke down and was no longer available.
Following Synology's procedure, it took me 10 minutes to insert the 5 HDDs from my old NAS into the DS1819+ and everything worked as before with much better performance! Even the licenses for the 4 cameras were transferred without any manipulation on my part.Pro

Good performances in general. Nothing stellar
Globally speaking it is a step forward my DS1513+. Fans are quieter in most cases. However any low level operation on disk still take ages with large disks. If yours stays on 24/7 it is not an issue, but if you want to sometimes turned it off, you will have to be really patient in some cases.
Migration is also easy, only if you can avoid the HyperBackup solution which in fact does not collect most application configurationsPerfect NAS with a lot of functionality
Purchased as a replacement for my old 1510+. As usual from Synology, good workmanship, optimised trays (no more screws needed for 3.5" drives), screws for 2.5" drives included, reasonable performance (what you can expect from 4x 1GBit/s NICs).
