Beautiful humidifier with plenty of power
Small humidifier with large capacity and high evaporation rate. Automatic mode with hygrostat that works fairly accurately (reads 2% above my other one positioned 1.5m away).
Up to and including level 3 it is quiet and you can watch TV normally next to it, level 4 is then quite loud and at hairdryer/vacuum cleaner level (60dB) and should only be used if you want to increase the humidity as quickly as possible and are not at home.
Karl has the same evaporation performance as Oskar Big, but only uses two filter pads instead of four, which halves the operating costs.
App connection now via Stadler Form App instead of Tuya SmartLife. However, the service provider is still Tuya, which is unfortunately not mentioned at all in the privacy policy and terms of use. There you will only find "third party", only after the connection is visible in the help area via the logo who the third party is. This is also not visible in the printed instructions - you could almost think that Stadler wants to hide the fact that Tuya is behind this.
A connection via Thread/Matter would have been desirable here. Control from "outside" is unnecessary and unfortunately often unsafe.Pro

Poor quality product
Leaks water even when not fully filled, moreover after just under 6 months of use the power supply was fried.
As a result of the water leak the fabric grey cover has mold and brown stains. Really not the quality I expect for that price tag and a swiss productPro

Misleading activation
The initial start up instructions miss the first step and don’t tell you how or where to turn the device on. Then, the feedback lights did not flash/feedback as described. However, the more frustrating fact omitted is that it only works on 2.5ghz wi-fi and you need this if you want the app to work. You may need to downgrade your wifi to make it work if your router can only operate on one frequency.

Massively overpriced product!
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product from Stadler Form. We have been using the Stadler Form "Oskar" for years and are thrilled with it. But the "Karl" is just disappointing in more ways than one for this massively high price.
