Sony Ht-Sf150
120 W, Stereo
This soundbar is used in my small apartment. The soundbar was mounted below the TV with a 3rd party manufacturer bracket*. The TV is mounted on the wall. The soundbar is used for movies/series and music. Given the price, there is almost nothing to complain about. The sound quality is "good". Sure you can not compare it with a Sonos Playbar or similar. However, for 100.- you get a very decent upgrade for the integrated TV speakers. The sound is in my opinion also significantly better than the sound of compact speakers such as UE Boom or Bose MiniSoundlink etc..
The soundbar is used without a subwoofer. The bass is accordingly on a different level. The windows are spared even at the highest volume. However, the highs and lows come well into the ear. Especially when you watch a movie, you notice how poor integrated speakers are. With the remote control you can adjust the pitch, so that the speech or the bass comes out better.
For about 100.- this is certainly not a bad buy.
HDMI ARC, Bluetooth, USB and an optical input are supported.
*A "wall mount option" is also available. On the back is a hole with a subsequent slot where you can "put in" a screw head, so that the soundbar lies on the screw head. For this wall mount you need suitable screws (M4) and a large enough screw head. This wall mount can also be used for a mount on the TV.
Important info: If the soundbar is on a surface, you have more bass, because the surface (for example, a TV furniture) is used as a sound box.
For whom is this soundbar something?
In my opinion, this soundbar is for people who don't want to invest a lot of money and are happy with a budget solution. For an upgrade of the TV speakers and as a sound source for music, the soundbar is perfectly sufficient. This model is also suitable for people who do not have a proper sound system and want a cheap compact system.
However, if you want a real bass and sound quality, you'll have to look for something else (with a subwoofer).

So these speakers are a marked improvement to the integrated TV speakers.
If you are not a DJ or music professor, you will be happy with these speakers. Sound is good, especially for this price range.

Sound bar not worth the price.
It's pretty, it's Sony... But that's about it.
Night mode is good for sound.
But the music, cinema, auto sound and standard modes aren't really any different at low volumes.
The sound is flat.
For example, I have a Silvercrest sound bar (Lidl) that I bought half as expensive 2 or 3 years ago. It has the same inputs but with the addition of a classic and cynch jack input. The cinema sound mode is excellent, and you can also adjust the treble and bass. But it lacks punch at high volume because it only has 2 speakers. Sony, on the other hand, has 4 (treble + mid/bass). However, you'd clearly expect something better for a product from a brand that's 2x more expensive.
This is where I say that we are paying for the Sony brand here but the rest is not up to scratch.
It's a shame because I bought some amazing Sony headphones. I thought the sound bar would be just as nice.
Admittedly it's a first price brand but I expected better.
It's up to you to decide what you want to do after reading my message.
In the photo, the Sony bar above and the Silvercrest below. They are similar in size.
