Sagem Rm50
Sagem RM50
the FAVORITES menu disappears after 2 sec. No way to use it. A lot of small bugs as well.
Need to return it for repairing (Digitec doesn't want to return money).
Don't buy it.
The price/performance ratio of the RM50 is perfect. My device has already been in use for some time and I would not want to exchange again. I am currently considering buying two more - at the current promotional price, a great gift!
wow... I Technik-Nilpe have unpacked the device & connected... works tip top!
super sound quality, found my favorite stations (USA+Australia)... am mega happy ;-)
listening greetings
camel mouse! *yeah*
Must unfortunately add my opinion here and negatively:
- Firmware update was not possible
- RDS function is not supported (contrary to product information from SAGEM)
- After switching on the system from standby, the last menu selection is sometimes loaded, but sometimes any other menu item is loaded.
- Startup process from standby takes extremely long (approx. 1 minute)
- Naviagtion within menus, e.g. FM radio to internet radio also takes a very, very long time.
The RM50 is simply not usable from my point of view. Will return it these days to Digitect and hope for redemption.
To be honest, I am a bit disappointed with the device. I mainly wanted to use the Sagem RM50 as an Upnp client. After unpacking and connecting the device for the first time, I wanted to pack it up again and send it back. The connection to my private WLAN worked without any problems. But as soon as you want to access the media server you wait... and wait... and wait... After about 3 minutes something should actually come. But this is hearsay because I have never waited that long. After a bit of googling I found out that this problem has been solved with the new firmware.
With the new firmware, I would give the device 3 stars.
So to all those who already own the device, FIRMWAREUPDATE!
By the way, access to the web radio works quite well with the old firmware.
After 10 days of use:
The goods:
- good sound quality, given the small dimensions
- easy to setup (including WPS function = connect to wireless network by pressing the corresponding button on router)
- good quality of wireless connection (no loss of connection noticed yet)
- "shuffle" of online radios according to genre function - wonderful!!!
- once favorite stations set, easy to play the one you want
- big display, dim-able, I will use this as bedroom clock-radio
The bads:
- difficult to navigate in menus using the main wheel - too sensitive
- not so easy to reach to your fav stations (vtuner site can be of help)
- it happened twice: unit didnt react to remote control command - solved by power off -power on
- poor quality of sound delivered on audio line-out
