Good robot. Annoying setup.
Had problems connecting the robot to the Wi-Fi network with the Roborock app. Had to connect first with the Xiaomi MiHome app, do a firmware update and then it finally worked with the Roborock app. The network also had to be 2.4G, as it won't work with 5G. Aside from the annoying setup in the beginning, it works very well.

Very good domestic help
As a household aid, the Roborock s8+ convinces us. Only corners or behind doors have to be vacuumed by hand.
The set-up with the app is very easy.

Activate your "Marketing Bullshit Avoidance System", buy an older model & save some money
I bought this to get better avoidance of cable, kids' toys and other stuff left on the floor than my current S5, which almost never manages to finish cleaning.
S8+/Ultra is absolutely the same or worse, only identifies few objects if any, and is able to suck up even more stuff. At least it is easier to remove it.

Cleaning is of course as fine as you can expect it from these machine. If you have an always barrier-free, tidy home, go get a different model from Roborock. If you have a home like me, go get a different model from Roborock.
