Good robot. Annoying setup.
Had problems connecting the robot to the Wi-Fi network with the Roborock app. Had to connect first with the Xiaomi MiHome app, do a firmware update and then it finally worked with the Roborock app. The network also had to be 2.4G, as it won't work with 5G. Aside from the annoying setup in the beginning, it works very well.

Very good domestic help
As a household aid, the Roborock s8+ convinces us. Only corners or behind doors have to be vacuumed by hand.
The set-up with the app is very easy.

Activate your "Marketing Bullshit Avoidance System", buy an older model & save some money
I bought this to get better avoidance of cable, kids' toys and other stuff left on the floor than my current S5, which almost never manages to finish cleaning.
S8+/Ultra is absolutely the same or worse, only identifies few objects if any, and is able to suck up even more stuff. At least it is easier to remove it.

Cleaning is of course as fine as you can expect it from these machine. If you have an always barrier-free, tidy home, go get a different model from Roborock. If you have a home like me, go get a different model from Roborock.

Perfect!
What a beautiful smart robot hoover. This one makes life a whole lot more comfortable. Actually nothing to grumble about. Takes a bit long, but that's because it does everything twice during a full programme. It also mops first lengthwise and then crosswise again. He charges in between and then continues.
Chair legs, carpet, black doormat everywhere he can handle. Only our coffee table he sometimes got stuck on because he wanted to dive all the way under it but then he would sometimes get stuck... by making a small no-go square on the spot of the table he goes there nicely.
Cords, shoes everything else he sees. It costs a bit but then you have somethingPro

I am shockingly in love with my new partner at my side - Robi, my faithful cleaning assistant. He does a really great job, I wouldn't have thought it.
Robi wasn't cheap to buy, but the cleaning assistant quickly pays for itself after a few hours of use

Roborock S8+
It is a good Robot but after reading the reviews I was expecting to be exceptional. I have a Roomba that is 8 years old now and cleans as well as this one. The good thing is that Roborock hoovers and mops at the same time. So, it improved a lot from my old Roomba in terms of abilities and made me happy :0)
best help ever
The best Roborock ever, we bought it in addition to the S7, S7 is already great, but had trouble with black carpets (always thinks it falls into the void). This has been fixed with the S8.

Men's toys
Watching the floor plan being created on the app was legendary. It's expensive, but it cleans pretty well. I have a few pets and children. With Roby, I only have to vacuum behind the doors and corners now and again. Everything else is spotless.
The Roby even does wet mopping in the direction the floor is laid. You select on the floor plan which rooms it should clean, where there are no-go zones and so on.
The unit sucks
And the appliance wipes. With a child and a dog, we really have to clean a lot. With the S8, we do it when we go for a walk or when we go shopping.
The appliance works really well. The floor has never been so nice and clean for so long in a row. 👌Pro
