Compared to the TS 251, the housing is very cheaply made, as are the plug-in units.
A pity at this price.

There was great anticipation when the thing arrived. Opened, hard drives inserted, connected, switched on.
You then have to initialise the device with an extra program, but that was not so bad. Even the firmware updates.
Then:
Hard drives unknown, have to be initialised first, NOTHING is installed, not even a DLNA server or a small FTP server, absolutely unusable in that state.
If you have no idea about these things -> Hands off!
Don't get me wrong, you can really set up and install everything here, but the device is really only for people who are familiar with it. If you want something that already works, you should go for WD or something similar.
BIGGEST WEAKNESSES:
The internal fan is so loud that you can hear it humming all the time. There is a "silent mode", but this is totally superfluous because it doesn't work anyway, the fan just spins and spins and spins.
Hard discs are not switched off, there is always some service in the background that prevents this and you can't switch it off. So if you use some Seagate Ironwolf Pro hard drives, you'll have fun, but the manufacturer shouldn't matter because of the design. The discs rattle and clatter every few seconds and that's annoying.
Actually, the thing should be a nice little media server in the living room (if only because of the HDMI connection), but because of the volume it's not possible, you can hear it on both floors.
It might work in a corner in the basement, but it won't work like this. There is a very high probability that it will be returned. The fan and volume of the discs are a total exclusion criterion, because SSDs this large are not (yet) available.
Absolutely NO recommendation to buy.
