Philips Smart Sleep & Wake-up Light HF3651/01
I have the predecessor from 2008 and what can I say: nothing has changed in this time! No DAB+, no radio clock, still the same number of alarm tones. The only thing is a USB port. The alarm clock is for bad risers a really great thing, better buy an old used on ricardo, eBay and co. until Philips finally brings a technical upgrade.

ATTENTION: USB port is ONLY for charging! Although the USB port at digitec appears in the specification under Alarm Clock Connections, it can NOT be used to extend the alarm tones!
Absolutely brilliant!!! Have given it away several times, all can no longer imagine a life, resp getting up without. Also good if you have to get up briefly at night and only want a little light, so as not to wake up properly....
... and very aesthetic it is also....
Waking up/sleeping in with the light simulation is easier with the Wake-up Light than with an ordinary alarm clock. However, finding the right light intensity (understandably) takes a few attempts. Unfortunately, the selection and quality of the sleep and wake-up sounds is not convincing.

Waking up with the sunlight simulation is really a game changer. I didn't believe it at the beginning but it really makes a difference.
The reason why I give only 3 stars is that the rest of the technology is outdated and for this, the price is too high.
E.g. you can only set 2 basic alarms... that's it. You can't set some for weekdays and some for weekends or disable it for the weekend. You always have to remember to turn the alarm off for the weekend.
The radio is a joke, the wake-up sounds are ok but very basic, here I would expect to be able to customise it with an app.
Overall, it changed my wake up routine in a positive way but I am disappointed with the technology.

I've had the (perceived) first model of the Wake-up series for about 15 years now. It fulfilled its function wonderfully. The reason why I got the new version is the adjustable time frame for the sunrise. Since my partner is a rather light sleeper, the light wakes her up. In contrast to the old model (always 30 minutes), with this model you can freely set how long the sunrise should be - 15 minutes for us, which works as a compromise.
Sadly, however, this function and the light itself are the only things that have been improved in the last 15 years. The loudspeakers are as bad as ever, new alarm tones are almost non-existent and the operation...
With the old model I had a few buttons and a switch. Button pressed → light on, switch up → alarm 1 activated, switch down → alarm 2 activated, switch middle → no alarm activated etc.
Now they probably thought they wouldn't make any haptic controls at all because..c'est chiq (✿◕‿◕✿).
Everything now has to be controlled by the touch control of the alarm clock..and it wasn't even cleverly implemented -.- You want to turn on light? 1x press to activate the touch control, 1x press to get to the menu, 1x press on light. Switch the light off again? 1x press to activate the touch control, 1x press to enter the menu, 1x press for light options, 1x press to deactivate. You want to activate an alarm clock? 1x press to activate the touch control, 1x press to enter the menu, 1x press to select alarm, 1x press to select specific alarm, 1x press to enter on/off mode, 1x press to activate/deactivate, 1x press to confirm...that's 7x presses to turn an alarm on/off...wtf. Why do I have to confirm this crap every time too? And why do I have to press the home icon every time after activation to get to the menu? What else is supposed to happen?
It may sound like a detail, but for a product in this price range, this is a disaster. Philips should really send some skilled UXers over there.
