The router is fast and flexible, but has some stability issues with WiFi, needs a lot of tuning to get to 300 Mbit over 5 GHz.

After a certain amount of time (1-1.5 hrs) I decided that the wireless speed really sucked
The solution was using their package (wifi-qcom-ac) and drop the 2.4Ghz frequency: after that and working up the settings I managed to have perfect speed and perfect latency in all our apartment
I also use other MikroTik devices (switches and APs) and wanted an all-in-one router with SFP and a couple of 1GBit ports in the office. I've had the device for a while, but bought it from a different store because it was hard to get for a long time.
I am actually very satisfied with the RB4011. The device does get a little warm (around 35-40 degrees for me), but it was designed so that the housing should dissipate the heat.
To set up the device, you either have to choose one of the suggested quick sets or enjoy familiarising yourself with the subject matter, RouterOS, documentation and forums. I enjoy this kind of thing and so it didn't bother me.
I even managed to get a wifi throughput that was completely sufficient for me (around 400-450 MBit download and upload), but MikroTik devices are certainly a bit tricky when it comes to the topic of wifi and require some research and testing to optimise the throughput. In any case, I have had little success with the "auto settings".
I think it's a bit of a shame that the RB4011 has two switch chips (with 5 ports each) and communication between them has to be via the CPU (with a 2.5 GBit connection). However, as the CPU is quite powerful, I have never had any problems with it.
All in all, I think the RB4011 is a device that is aimed more at the hobby home networker than the plug-and-play user. But if you are the former, you will have a lot of fun with the device :-)

Wi-Fi performance is max 160 Mbit/s on 5G with 802.11ac. This is very, very poor for the advertised performance of 1733 Mbit/s and cannot be excused. A FritzBox 7582 with the same settings and in the same location achieves over 500 Mbit/s.#
I have had the same experience with other Mikrotik devices. It is therefore advisable to try out other manufacturers and avoid MikroTik, at least in the wireless sector, even if the devices are cheap.
Edith: after almost exactly three years of use, the device is now simply broken after an update
