Google Chromecast Audio
Super device, works a million times better than this ROCKI player.
However, I advise you to install BubbleUpnp on your mobile phone. This allows you to stream from various sources to a wide range of streaming devices. The app also supports Youtube and Soundcloud.

I bought the Chromcast Audio as an "extended" accessory for Google Home. To theoretically replace the Sonos. However, this is not possible. Watching films on the smartphone while streaming the sound is also not possible - because it is not snchron.

A must have for music fans or to upgrade the networkless music system.

I am very satisfied. The only drawback is the time lag between sound and picture when streaming YouTube. But that is a technical problem and difficult to solve.

Works ok, sound quality mediocre. Can only be used with Chrome or Android and must be streamed from online apps like Spotify. Youtube app does not work (because no video). Delay of approx. 1 second makes it impossible to watch a film with it.

Does not work properly if there is a Jura coffee machine between the Wi-Fi router and the Chromecast.
Expectations fulfilled.
It's okay, nothing more. The DAC should be better. Even a Bluetooth speaker of medium quality can easily keep up. Rather the wrong choice for hi-fi fans
The Chromecast Audio is just great, several apps support streaming to it and thanks to the optical output it is possible to connect a high-quality DAC. (that's how I use it).
It also supports audio up to 96kHz/24bit.

After being impressed by the Chromecast, I bought the CHromecast Audio for my system in the kitchen. Streaming music via a radio app or Spotify works without any problems. I was only a little disappointed that I can't stream music videos etc. from YouTube.

Unclear at point of sale that it won’t integrate at all with Apple Music, nightmare to connect up with phone and chrome home when more than 1 WiFi present. All in all think I’ll never use unless apple integrates as in theory it would be a great piece of kit to stream music collection to fantastic old school hifi.
The Chromecast actually works quite well. I use it with acustica lounge from geneva. You constantly hear a noise signal, as if it had a loose contact. This is particularly annoying with classical or quiet music. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired for the price.
great way to listen to music anywhere
Very easy to use and exceptional sound quality when coupled with Tidal Hi-Fi! Also works with the Apple universe

Have now made my old stereo system smart :)

Had many bugs in the beginning.
Excellent. We use it every day.

I have two of them and use them separately and in combination. If you have an Android mobile phone, you'll be pleased; the whole thing doesn't work so well on iOS. In general, however, it is ingenious for integrating old dumbspeakers or hi-fi stereo systems into the streaming world, but also practical if you are building something new and want to be flexible with the speakers.
NOTE: YouTube does not work (except via the thirdparty app or simply streaming audio directly from your Android phone, but it needs battery power). This will probably change with the new YouTube Music service.
Otherwise, the usual audio streaming services are supported: Spotify, Google Play Music, Deezer, Soundcloud, Pocket Cast, Plex, Tidal, TuneIn, Qello and many more.

Easy to install. Do not use the product in the same room as the WLAN router. Nevertheless, no repeater is necessary because it runs stably and without problems.
Pro
Meets the requirements and is very easy to set up. Set it up in the Google Home app, set where the device is and you're ready to go. The AUX cable supplied is a bit short - replace it and the thing is nicely hidden.

Unbeatable value for money. I connected my old amp, simple, efficient, fast. Allows multiroom. Sound quality quite acceptable for "lambda" user. I've been using it for a while now, but it's not long enough to connect the chromecast to the amp.

It's nice to be able to enjoy the quality of my hi-fi systems in several rooms at the same time. No more different music in different rooms and no need to be locked into a multiroom compatible brand. I recycled a 20 year old hi-fi system which works perfectly. You can also adjust the sound offset as needed, in ms. Don't forget to select "full sound range" for the hifi devices, in order to take full advantage of the quality which I find excellent for an amateur like me.

If you can cope with the confusing user interface, there's nothing better.
For me, it was a quick fix to a problem. But it is not satisfactory as a permanent solution.

the little thing works perfectly. delivery was prompt. of course, a stable wifi is crucial for setup and operation. note: does not run via bluetooth.

It works great, I bought it to connect it to my stereo amplifier. In combination with TIDAL HiFi, the little biscuit sounds great.
Note: with my Asus RT-AC88U I first had to lower the "Beacon Interval" from 100 to 50, otherwise the audio playback stopped every 20-30 seconds. (Solution found here: https://productforums.google.com/d...)
