Everything would be great - if not for the HDMI problem.
Primarily, I would like to state that this review is based on the HDMI connection problem.
The HDMI ARC port is unfortunately not working and is a variable that severely affects the enjoyment of the BOSE system. It seems to be a known issue: https://community.bose.com/t5...
Unfortunately, all the tips to "work around" the problem are not the ones you want. BT or Optical - so you lose the benefits of ONE remote.
Too bad BOSE support doesn't respond to letters either.
Recommend products: No as long as there is no SW update for the HDMI problem - wait - but sound would be perfect......
I use the system with Bose Bass 700 and the rear speakers. if it would work I have to say super thing - really good sound and a lot of joy - Dolby sound is mega - music alone is ok.
It would be a great product or with the bass etc. a great combination - but the frustration with the HDMI connection deceives the picture so much that I have to say - if someone wants a BOSE soundbar then wait until the problem is fixed.

For the price, clearly not good enough
Design-wise it looks quite cool. Tonmässig the bar is also great in my eyes. Then it gets a little messy. No NAS connection to be able to play music directly from the NAS. (Pushing via Hi-Fi Cast is possible, but is unattractive)
The integration with Logitech Harmony is also extremely unattractive, because for the soundbar one of the extenders must be positioned separately.
Multiroom is not compatible with the existing SoundTouch system and the smallest speakers for the Bose Music System start at CHF 500.
The Bose Music App is also very modest in terms of usability (Permanent Logouts, Unschönes handling, data octopus, etc.).
Is really a pity, technically and from the design of the soundbar would be clearly superior to the Sonos Playbar (apart from the lack of NAS connection). Softwaretechnisch they stand but even worse than Sonos therePro

If you don't necessarily need the Smart Assistant feature right now, I can ONLY recommend this soundbar!
Sound, finish and ease of use are top notch, it's pretty amazing. No worries as long as you follow all the steps. The app is simple, but works well.
Beware, Alexa is not yet available in Switzerland, and Google integration is not yet there. So I am, for the moment, unable to use the microphone for voice commands.
Otherwise, I can use it connected to the PC, TV, console, smartphone and iPad, it is really heavy!
I love bass and will be buying the subwoofer in a few months, I think it's a must for movies and big sound. But the accuracy of the bar alone is already huge, and the bass is already there, I think.
I think later I'll also have the surround speakers to have a complete system, I really like to be able to buy each module separately (my bank account likes it, especially !)Pro

Top sound level
Very happy with the product overall.
However, many problems with the Bose Music application. The application does not find my sound bar by wifi.
After many exchanges with Bose, it would be the router that communicates poorly with the product.
To remedy this, I wired the sound bar in RJ-45 and since then, no more problems!Pro

The part is worth the money. I opted for the white (more expensive) version. Would buy it again. Decent because of the color and size it brings a breathtaking sound. But the bass module is a must. Without it nothing works.
