It works fine. I don't think it reaches the advertised speed, but it's definitely faster than my older wifi dongle.
However it is not a plug-and-play device. On windows it requires installation of drivers, which means that you need administrator access. The drivers are in the dongle itself, but still the process reminds me a lot of Windows 98.
There are no drivers available for Linux. If you are using a *nux operating system, you need to trust a github repository that contains some drivers that work. I did not try it on MacOS yet. Given that ASUS is mostly favoring Windows, I don't think it will be a better experience.

There's only one driver version available, and it is so bareboned in the advanced settings department that I can only think ASUS haven't actually gotten around to actually releasing one yet.
My previous wifi adapter, the Netgear A7000, can see the wireless AX network and connect to it.
This one cannot see it, even though it is specifically an AX adapter.
What's more, it doesn't connect to any network at all.
Either the drivers for this device are completely flawed, or there's a physical defect.
I'll wait a week to see if ASUS get back to me about a newer driver, then I'll return it.

- Expensive
- Only works at 2.4Ghz
- Crashes very regularly on 5Ghz
- 5Ghz connection will eventually kill see adapter
- 3 adapters burnt out by themselves when trying to connect to 5Ghz, changed each time by Galaxus, same problem again and again
- It sees the 5Ghz but unable to connect to it or ends up burning out
