Magic box with small limitations
The new Apple TV Box is actually top class! It installs quickly, especially if you are already in the Apple universe. The usability with the included remote control and the TV OS is simply top for the whole family. The picture quality on a 4K TV is outstanding and the little box runs stable and absolutely error-free. This also applies to most apps, of which a large number are available (Disney+, Netflix, Sky, Plex, Swisscom, Filmfriends etc.). The Swisscom TV app still runs with limited picture and sound quality. Unfortunately, the box does not do audio passthrough for high-resolution sound formats. Everything that comes in is converted to PCM and passed on to the AV receiver, for example. The much advertised new sound formats such as Dolby Atmos etc. are only available for Apple hardware (Homepods, Airpods). Hi-fi enthusiasts are therefore still better served with the nVidia Shield TV Box.

Wow
As a previous anti-Apple user, it was not easy for me to decide in favour of this product. However, all the technical features were exactly what I wanted and after the first use I am now very surprised by the range of functions and especially how easy it is to set up and operate and yes, it will probably not be my last Apple product, especially since the reservations I originally had against Apple products are now surpassed by other manufacturers by a long way. Unpacking, a short, very well-guided set-up and enjoyment without any fiddling with settings and parameters as I am used to from other manufacturers.

High expectations fulfilled
We use Apple TV together with a projector and it works perfectly. It was very easy to set up and the device runs absolutely reliably. Really great. I can recommend the device without any reservations.

There is so much potential for Apple TV to be the home entertainment hub of the future but the App Store is full of junk and it’s clear Apple has its priorities elsewhere.
I use it as an alarm clock in combination with my smart tv and Apple HomeKit and it’s the best thing I could have done for a consistent sleep routine.Pro

Good quality
Without an Apple account and no Apple smartfohn. Very difficult to activate 3 months subscription Apple TV. (must insert an account!) This is the biggest disadvantage when activating the device. Otherwise the same quality as Chromecast 4K. Therefore the note 3 stars.

I am completely thrilled
I bought the AppleTV 4K to set up as a Home Cinema along with two (large) HomePods. And I haven't been this excited about an Apple product in years! It's not a surround system, of course, but for me it's perfect. The AppleTV, with eARC and the HomePods, can take the standard sound output from my LG TV. And it works amazingly well! Then I moved away from the Swisscom TV box and switched to the blueTV app. This is also sensational. However, this setup is only usable with the additionally purchased AppleTV remote control from Swisscom (CHF 40). Tip: take the 128GB model, then you're sure to get the latest generation and not an old 4K slow seller.

Cool network device
The Apple TV integrates effortlessly into an existing LAN or WLAN and links as usual loosely with all Apple components. It is a pity that the wall mount has to be organised separately and is not included in the scope of delivery. AirPlay, streaming, etc.. run in very good quality. The device is a joy to use.

Apple TV at it's best
The Apple TV replaces my Amazon Fire TV Qube and I am happy all along the line to have dared to change. The Apple TV works quickly, is easy to set up and, as is typical for Apple, is equipped with top hardware.

We have been using Apple TV in the old version until now - with the new version, many functions have been sensibly added. Why do I need a Smart TV if the device I am using is sufficient for viewing and is not yet defective? If you use an iPhone, iPad, etc., Apple TV makes all the more sense.Pro

Compared to my previous Apple TV (4k gen1) this is faster in many ways: it’s able to browse a photo library with more than 100k pictures/videos eventually faster than my MacBook pro! Playing arcade games is also a super experience. Streaming movies definitely an easy task on 4k and Dolby Atmos
