The description says "AP controller for up to 8 APs (licence required)". What if I only want one AP, is it free or do I need a licence for it?

Hello! Exactly, if you want to use the UAG WLAN controller, you need a licence, namely this one: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/zyxel-icard-fuer-usg-uag-und-zywall-netzwerk-zubehoer-5909899. If you own one of our gateways (USG110 or larger), you can also simply buy a licence and run the hotspot management on the gateway: https://www.zyxel.ch/de/business-products/security-appliances-and-services/hotspot-management/advantage The WLAN controller for 2 APs would already be included with the USG.
