Hi, it worked for us for a few months. We simply took the water from the tap. However, our appliance had a fault and water just ran out recently. It broke down. Out of interest, I took it apart and saw that the transducer was poorly attached to the housing. As a result, water got onto the circuit board and it burnt out. Overall, the device worked very well. Fortunately, Galaxus is a very good company and they refunded me the cost.
I have not found any official specifications, but I use the humidifier in my 18m3 office and am more than satisfied. Va with the knowledge that it is poorly insulated (there is a draught through the window) and the door to the corridor is always open.
There is no information at all in the instructions. In terms of output power (3.5l/h) it is comparable with Stadler Form Oskar 18W. Would say 50m2. Maybe that will help you as food for thought :-) LG, Marco
Hello Sergej. It says on the packaging "works with alexa" and "works with Google Home". I haven't integrated it myself yet, but I assume that both are supported.
The Xiaomi Smart Humidifier 2 does not have a built-in sensor to measure the ambient humidity, so in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app you will only see the status of the device (power on, fog level, amount of water, timer, etc.), but not the percentage of humidity in the room. To view the humidity, you need to pair it with an external Xiaomi sensor (e.g. Mi Temperature and Humidity Monitor 2) that integrates into the same app.
The behaviour you describe on the Xiaomi Intelligent Humidifier 2 (switching off after <30 minutes + flashing orange light) is a fairly typical symptom.
The most common causes are these:
1. Tank not correctly positioned
This model has a level sensor/magnetic sensor:
if the reservoir is not inserted perfectly, the humidifier will run for a short time and then switch off.
Solution:
Remove the tank
Clean it and reposition it carefully until you feel it 'latch'.
Check that it is firmly seated on the base
2. Water level sensor blocked or dirty
If the sensor fails to detect water, the orange light flashes.
Solution:
Remove water
Clean the tank, float (if present) and sensor compartment
Fill it with clean water (preferably filtered water)
3. Scale or deposit in the ultrasonic module
A dirty ultrasonic disc can cause the device to fail after a few minutes.
Solution:
Empty the humidifier
Clean the metal disc with white vinegar + cotton wool
Rinse well
4. Safety mode / overheating protection
If it detects a lack of water or a problem in the flow, it goes into protection.
The humidifier also works without installing the app, as it can be operated manually. However, the app enables advanced functions such as remote control and individual humidity control.
Cleaning the lid with a moving funnel
Switching off and disconnecting the humidifier: Before starting cleaning, ensure that the humidifier is switched off and disconnected from the electrical outlet for safety reasons.
Remove lid: Gently lift the lid with the mobile steam funnel.
Cleaning with soft cloth: Use a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and residues. Avoid the use of aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the material.
Drying: After cleaning, dry the cover thoroughly with a dry, soft cloth to prevent residual moisture.
General cleaning of the humidifier
Weekly cleaning: We recommend cleaning the entire device at least once a week. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the main body and the filter casing.
Limescale removal: If you notice the presence of limescale, prepare a solution of citric acid and water (about 1 teaspoon of citric acid in 1 litre of water). Pour the solution into the tank and leave it for a few minutes, then gently scrub with a cotton wool pad or a soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Cleaning the atomiser: Clean the atomiser with a soft cloth or cotton wool. After filling the tank with water, shake it gently to remove any residue, then empty it.
Additional tips
Use of distilled water: To prevent the build-up of minerals and limescale, it is advisable to use distilled or demineralised water.
Avoid the use of essential oils: The use of essential oils can damage the humidifier and impair air quality.
Dry completely: After each cleaning, ensure that all parts are completely dry before reassembling and reconnecting the humidifier.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any Xiaomi flavour pads in the range. But as it is generally easy here. Other pads from manufacturers should generally also work, at most they need to be cut to size a little. E.G: Beurer LB 37 flavour pads (10 x)
The appliance has an automatic control that keeps the humidity constant, which indicates that a hygro sensor is present. This sensor enables the appliance to automatically adjust the humidity output to ensure optimum humidity levels and avoid excess humidity.
