I had intended to use this for my Korg Kronos. This is because it requires the ASIX AX88772 chipset. But I can't find anything about it in the manual. This review with the Nintendo Switch, that it was compatible before but not anymore, makes me a bit more sceptical whether the required chipset is still installed. Does anyone know?

Not compatible with the Kronos. I've tried it. However, with an Apple adapter, it's perfectly fine.

AFAIK there are several revisions of this hardware. Mine from back in 2016 was revision v4.0R - not supported anymore. My question to most recent buyers, your item, what revision does it have?

Since you didn't receive an answer so far, i guess there's only one way to find out (or contact customer support directly). It's always possible, that there might be mixed revisions in stock if the product has been seemingly replaced with a new revision. But usually, if the discontinuation been a while, the most recent version should be in stock.
