I have installed a network infrastructure with a software controller version v5.15.20.19. Now I've bought an OC200 hardware controller to avoid having to leave my machine running permanently. The OC200 controller is version v5.15.8.12, which is the latest available for this component. To transfer the configuration it is strongly recommended that you have the same version, which I can't do as the OC200 component, even if it is up to date, is a long way behind. Can anyone help me? Risky or not? Thanks for any help! Chris

Hello, I've looked at my OC200 and it's also in version v5.15.8.12. I think that switching from Soft to HW shouldn't be a problem, but if it is, you should be able to go back to a SW configuration. In any case, you can open a ticket on tp-link France, they are very efficient.

ETH1: if the controller is ONLY supplied via an external POE interface (e.g. with a switch or router which has PoE connections). ETH2: is a normal input/output, e.g. also for a connection to a switch/router ect. If the controller is NOT powered with POE via ETH1, it must be powered with a USB cable (5V, 1A). But beware: If the controller is only powered via USB, the integrated backup function to an inserted USB stick will not work. - The backup function requires a power supply via PoE! Otherwise, the controller has been working perfectly for 1 year! Updates / manipulation / monitoring etc. from the remote network or the connected access points (TP-Link EAP245) via the Internet also work perfectly.
