The double-sided mounting tape holds flat objects up to 10 kg per 10 cm tape length securely on smooth, solid surfaces. It is therefore suitable for an hourglass of around 5 kg if sufficient tape length is used and the surface of the chest of drawers is smooth and firm.
To remove the tape, pull it off carefully. If any residue remains, it can be removed with a suitable adhesive remover or by heating (e.g. with a hairdryer) so as not to damage the hourglass or the surface.
It is important that the hourglass lies flat and that the surface is clean, dry and free of grease to ensure maximum adhesive strength.
The tape is not suitable for use over a bathtub as it is not water resistant and should be protected from direct contact with water. It is ideal for indoor use and can be used in protected outdoor areas as long as it is not exposed to UV or water.
The tesa Powerbond ULTRA STRONG double-sided mounting tape is easy to remove without leaving any residue. It is important to keep the surface clean and dry before application to ensure optimum adhesion and avoid damage during removal.
The adhesive tape can hold a floating shelf if it is applied correctly. It will hold up to 6kg per application, which could be sufficient for a shelf with a depth of 15cm, provided the weight of the shelf and its contents do not exceed this limit. It is important that the surface is clean and free from dust in order for the full adhesive strength to develop.
Yes, the tape holds well on tiles. It is especially suitable for such surfaces and offers strong adhesion so that you can attach a shower system without drilling. Make sure to clean the surface thoroughly beforehand to achieve the best adhesion.
Yes, that's normal. Otherwise you wouldn't get it off the roll 😉. It depends on what you're using it for and what surface you have. Example: Plastic on plastic is great, plastic on concrete doesn't work.
You can certainly also attach it to window surfaces. But I wouldn't do it if it weighs several kilos. . As far as I know, window glass cannot withstand high weight on the surface. If, for example, a plexiglass or acrylic only has a low weight, perhaps. The adhesive tape can be removed with a warm hairdryer and then any traces of adhesive removed with alcohol or glass cleaner.
Hello,
I would say yes. I did it on a very thin plastered wall, to fix tesa plastic hooks to hang photo frames weighing less than 2 kg. They've been in place for over a year now, but I'd advise you to press the tape firmly against the wall for a perfect grip.
The more tape you put on, the more weight it will support. Apply several strips along the entire length of the mirror. If you want to be able to remove the mirror in the future, remember to leave 1-2 centimetres of tape sticking out at the bottom (or on the sides), leaving the red protection on the 2 sides (then hide them with a piece of tape).(then hide them with a plant or something) so that you can remove the mirror without fear by slowly stretching the tape flush against the wall (a really ingenious system with this tape!).). It's really worth the effort, because without it, you won't be able to remove the mirror without breaking it.
I always have some in stock in the drawer, it's really an excellent product, for me the best you can find.
We cannot answer this question, we do not know what your wall is made of. If the plaster is a thin layer on top of smooth concrete, it is very likely that the strips will tear off the plaster. Perhaps you should go to a DIY shop for advice.
It depends on how rough your abrasion wall is! If it is too rough, the mounting tape may not hold well enough. I have attached pictures with Tesa adhesive nails, but with a weight of 3 kg this is not possible. With a nail or dowel, your wooden frame will hold in any case.
Good day.
I once experienced similar reactions. However, we then found out that the pre-treatment of the areas to be taped had not been carried out properly. For example, adhesive tape usually does not stick to dust, oil or silicone films. Skin grease must also be removed first. Most of the time, the people who mount the tape touch it at the point of adhesion and grease the adhesive surface.
Wash your hands, disinfect with alcohol, let dry clean, do not touch the adhesive surfaces and clean the surface FIRST. Helps. Guaranteed.
I used the tape for hanging pictures with aluminium frames, had lasted about 1 year. In general, however, I would rather recommend sewing or gluing (welding with iron) in this case.
