Has anyone ever opened them or smelled them? I wonder if they simply bleach or chlorinate the water or if there is more to it.

Works with silver ions. These disinfect water, i.e. kill germs.

Is the 'Stylies Silver Cube' model sold by Galaxus compatible with the 'Stylies Hera' Humidifier? I recently bought a replacement Kalkfilterkartusche only to find that it did not fit my 'Hera'

The Silver Cube ist compatible with the Hera. They fits in all Stylies models which needs one. The offered Kalkfilterkartusche doesn't fit in older Hera models. Suitable Kartusche for the older Hera models will be available in autumn 2017 referred to the distributor.
