Check Sony HTA7000 which was released together with this, according to Digitec it is going to be available in November 2022 (best case) I wanted to have HTA9 before Christmas 2021 but it looks like I can forget about it....
Can only recommend the system. There have been firmware updates in the meantime (3-4 since the release) and I no longer have any dropouts. I use it for series, movies and music all via Apple TV4K HDMI and LG TV. Sound is really top (Dolby Amos, DTS, you name it). Would buy it again incl. subwoofer.
As these are top-firing loudspeakers, i.e. the sound or sound waves must travel from the speaker to the ceiling and be reflected from there, "normal" room heights are most suitable. If you have a particularly high ceiling or similar, dedicated ceiling speakers are more suitable.
There are a few basics regarding placement here: https://www.heimkino-praxis.de/aufstellun...
I have not yet noticed this effect.
With the voice setting, dialogue is emphasised somewhat and with the night mode, the (sometimes somewhat exaggerated) dynamics are reduced.
Both help against the problem you fear.
Hello Bonito
The cables to the boxes are (as always) not very long. I think I read somewhere about 1.5 metres. So it's best to order the appropriate extension cables at the same time. I am writing to you as a private person and not as an employee of digitec.ch. Buy the system! It sounds simply fantastic. You'll think you're sitting in a cinema....! I set the volume to about a third (about 30 out of 100) and it really hammers.
Another tip from me: buy the SA-SW5 subwoofer (the big one) at the same time, it makes a huge difference. An extension cable can also make sense here.
Best regards from Bern, Wolverine
I've already searched for it, but only found this one:
Item 17326485 at Galaxus.
You can certainly make them fit and add a joint for adjustment (I already have one).
As far as I know, apart from the subwoofer, no other Sony speakers can be connected. The speakers are controlled via Bluetooth and only 4 BT speakers are controlled in the system. - However, you can still connect a centre via cable (jack). Hope this helps.
