Unfortunately, this bluray player does not support UHD blurays. I could recommend the following product which supports UHD blurays: Panasonic DMP-UB704 (4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, Player, Black)
No. For this you need an optical drive for your PC. You will also need the appropriate software for ripping. -> https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/externes-optisches-laufwerk-425 This device is intended for connection to a TV or a receiver.
I'm afraid not, WLAN or LAN is needed to connect to the web (Netflix, youtube etc).
Apparently, the unit has only one digital output. So it doesn't work with the red and white cinch plugs.
That works, yes. The app is pre-installed and can be called up via the main menu and via a dedicated button on the remote control.
Hello tibet1962 The power supply comes separately. Round plug 12V see e.g.: https://www.avforums.com/review/sony-bdp-s6500-blu-ray-player-review.12059 Greetings Doro
So far I have no problems with jpg data. Everything is reproduced in the best possible way. Kind regards Peter Bleiker
Unfortunately, it is not. I was hoping it is region free, as it is in US. Also Sony support doesn't want to give instructions to make it region free (at least for dvd region lock) :-(
