I use the product in two countries and regularly remove the fixed adapter. It has actually worked so far. Incidentally, I haven't fitted the foam seal either.

I asked myself the same question and ordered the cheaper product anyway. The only difference is that it doesn't have a Swiss plug. But the adapter is included and you don't even notice it. I can only recommend it!
