the region code for this model is B - we can only offer oppo blu-ray players with a region free mod (more expensive than the products currently offered @ our store)

No. The BD player does not have a TV tuner. This should be possible, if already possible on your TV, by means of HDD or USB stick.

But this must be a really older projector! In my opinion, this is only possible with a scaler that downscales the signal. Then it will also work with the resolution.
