I'm moving soon and would like to take the smoke detectors with me, but the problem is that the magnet that goes on the ceiling can't be pulled off without being destroyed. Is there a way to order them separately? Otherwise they can't be used at all.

Hello I have no idea. I would simply remove the magnet and if it breaks, go to the hardware store and get a new one. I put it on the ceiling with the adhesive tape and it should be removable.

Do the smoke detectors pass the alarm on to each other? Or does only the RM in the basement sound the alarm and the rest would remain silent?
