No, the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 Series case does not have a charging function.
the intensity is relative and subjective...the vibrations are normal to be able to carry out the main task of the toothbrush. However, having once had an oralB toothbrush, the Philips vibrations are not as strong. Best regards

It is not charging-compatible with my old case. The shape of the handpiece is also slightly different, so it doesn't quite fit in. I bought this case separately and it works with it: https://www.philips.de/c-p/CP0557_01/diamondclean-smart-diamondclean-reiseladeetuis Also available in white.

The difference lies in the case: the Special Edition does not charge the sonic toothbrush, whereas the "normal edition" does. This means that the invaluable advantage of the travel case is lost with the Special Edition. This is not specifically mentioned anywhere. It sucks that we as consumers are inundated with so many product variants and it's SO hard to keep track of everything.
