In the channel list, simply select the channel with the arrow keys, press the FAV key, use the arrow keys to select the Favourites group in which you want the channel, press OK. I have not yet tried out how to change the order in a Favourites group (and whether you can).
Yes, you can. The CI slot is behind a flap on the right front.

That's exactly why I bought it. The unencrypted digital TV and radio channels from UPC work without any problems, including the HD channels (SRF 1, 2, etc). Additional paid services or channel packages do not work because there is no CI+. When you set it up, you have to do a global channel search, which takes time, but then you have all the free-to-air UPC channels. And unlike some UPC boxes, you can even sort the channel list according to your wishes...
