Unfortunately I don't know how ours works, but I have already been able to reorder remote controls for other devices via Amazon...mfg
No, it only goes in the back. At the top, under the flap, there is only storage for hoses and material when not in use.
I bought it at the time under the name "Cybernetics Nanyo". I found the sorting/naming a bit confusing even then.
