This software subscription is delivered with German language documentation, but the Office applications themselves support multiple languages, including English. You can change the display and editing language to English within the software settings or by installing the English language accessory pack if needed. The language setting is linked to your Microsoft account and can be adjusted to English for all Microsoft 365 apps after installation.
The more expensive version is the digital-only version. The cheaper version is a box with a code. Sounds strange, but at Microsoft the physical versions are usually cheaper than the purely digital ones.
Officially this is the case, yes (whether it is technically possible for two device licences to be used by two people at the same time, I don't know). For several people (up to 5) you would need this version: Microsoft Office 365 Home (German, Windows, Mac OS X)
Either annually as a subscription Microsoft Office 365 Home (German, Windows, Mac OS X) for the latest Office version or 2x (twice) Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 (German, Windows, Mac OS X) as a full version.
Yes, there is probably a "Schlitzöhrli" at work. Why not 20 accounts? All the people you know could still join in!
Well, the Office can be installed on up to 5 devices but only 1 (one) user.
Kind regards

You can activate it on 5 pcs / laptops at the same time. On the Microsoft website you can manage all devices and, for example, deactivate a device if you no longer need Office on that device.
Personal:
Simultaneous use of 1 PC/Mac, 1 tablet and 1 smartphone.
Home:
Simultaneous use for up to 4 users (specifically: family members) on the correspondingly named devices, so quasi 4x Personal bundled in one subscription.
According to my research and the manufacturer's information, Access is included. Below are the manufacturer's system requirements:
- 1.6 GHz or faster (dual core)
- Windows 11, Windows 10
- 4 GB RAM / 2 GB RAM, (32 bit)
- 4 GB available storage space
- Screen resolution of 1280 × 768 pixels
- DirectX 9 or higher with WDDM 2.0 or higher for Windows 10 (or WDDM 1.3 or higher for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update) is required for graphics hardware acceleration.
- For some functions, .NET 3.5 or 4.6 and higher may also need to be installed.
- an internet connection
If the reactivation or activation does not work, it is best to contact the manufacturer directly.
The difference between Microsoft 365 Software and Microsoft 365 Software Box lies mainly in the form of delivery: The Software Box contains the licence key physically in a package that is sent by post, while the electronic version delivers the licence key digitally, usually by email or download link. In terms of content and functionality, both versions are identical, offering the same licence for 1 user and a 12-month term. The box is therefore a physical version of the same subscription that is also available electronically. Your assumption is therefore correct.
The software license is marked as German language, but Microsoft 365 apps generally allow users to change the display language after installation. You can switch the Office interface to English through the Microsoft 365 settings by selecting your preferred display language in your account settings or app settings. However, some configurations or restrictions might apply depending on the subscription type or organizational policies, which could limit language changes.
For a personal subscription, you should be able to change the language to English in your Microsoft 365 profile and app settings, even if the original license is labeled as German. This means the software can be used in English despite the initial language indication.
