Why is such a mumbo jumbo being sold on Digitec? The thing doesn't cool anything when viewed across the entire room, as any child with a little understanding of physics should know.

I have this Hocus Pocus Cube in my office in my immediate vicinity. For me, it is worth every franc, as it cools at least as much as a fan without blowing my papers away like a hurricane. I have to say that I bought it without any expectations and therefore I am not disappointed. Anyone expecting a miracle device that cools an open-plan office down to 15 degrees will of course be disappointed.

Whether swamp cooler creates cooling when you sit directly in front of it or only makes the room worse overall is debatable, but why does galaxus give a BTU value for this device? According to their own information, this states "how much heat the device can remove from a room per hour" This is simply not physically thermodynamically possible for an appliance that is only in the room and has no connection to the outside to get heat there

Thanks for the tip, I have just reported the error. This device does not remove heat from the room, it is an evaporative cooler. The evaporating water cools the ambient air slightly as more humid, cooler air is let out.
