You can tell by the colours of the OTO and SFP on the FritzBox. If both are light green, it should work.
If the colour is not recognisable, it is best to ask your provider. They will be able to tell you the correct plug types for the wall connection (OTO) and the adapter that is installed in the FritzBox (if you have received this from the provider).

Yes, the cable can transmit 10Gbps over XGS-PON or even much more.
His XGS-PON modem must also have the SC/APC connector to be able to connect it with this cable.
