Yes, that is possible. However, you have to copy the project file from the PC to the notebook or synchronise it between the two devices via OneDrive, Google Drive or similar. But you can install FL Studio on several devices.

I bought the software myself a few months ago. After registration and activation on the Image Line website, you have "lifetime updates". By the way: There is no DVD included, only a thin manual, an activation key and a sticker (if I remember correctly).
