Unfortunately, we do not currently have any information about a product launch of this router. However, as soon as we receive new information, this will be added to our online shop. Sorry.
As already written, there is no router freedom in Switzerland and the Swiss providers often behave restrictively. Unfortunately, I can only say something specific about Rii Seez Net. The adaptation to the network is not supposed to be easy and that's why Rii Seez Net doesn't do it. Unfortunately, they are not very credible as they sell the Fritz Box themselves if you want to operate a VOIP / ISDN telephone system. Besides, the Swiss network operators don't buy anything else that the rest of the world doesn't buy either. They just don't want it, I just don't understand why ? In Germany, by the way, it was exactly the same until the network agency passed a law obliging all providers to allow all routers. Yes, apparently it did work, it just needed a bit of political pressure.
Can be used . All cable networks in Switzerland use EuroDOCSIS 3.0. The only problem is that there is no router freedom in Switzerland like in Germany. For some reason unknown to me, you are forced to use the China crap of the cable providers. I replaced an Arris cable router with the 6590 at my mother's house. 1) The speed of the AVM modem was about 10% higher than that of the Arris. After the learning phase of the Fritzbox (approx. 1 week) there were no more failures at all, with the Arris at least 1-2 times a week. Since the box is now the first to be connected to the network, the very good VPN tunnel of the Fritzbox works just great. I am highly satisfied with the device. But as written above, the cable providers in Switzerland are not legally obliged to allow other routers. And if the provider doesn't give out the access data, you're out of luck. I, for example, am with Rii Seez Net Buchs, a very good provider. But my questions are answered evasively or not at all. It's a real shame that you have to put up with the China stuff just because it's cheaper than a high-quality router. I would also buy a router myself, but Rii Seez Net doesn't want to. :-(
Unfortunately, we cannot answer this question because we have not been able to try it out in such a form. However, I'll put the question in the community, maybe a user can help you :-)
