Dear all Is this back also recommended for carrying a notebook? I am searching for a good back pack to carry a quite heavy notebook and also to hike. Thank you

Hi, it is not impossible to carry a notbook with it, however, I would not recommend it since the back is bent towards the inside and hard. Therefore it could damage the notebook under certain circumstances. Also, it has some space but due to the hard back-cover, it does not allow a lot of other things (for hiking, food, jacket and so on) together with a notebook..

Does the backpack have a special pocket for possible water bags?

Yes, the Deuter website indicates that it is compatible with all Deuter systems up to 3 litres except for the Streamer 1.5 which has a special shape that does not fit in this backpack.
