Yes, you must install the exhaust air hose to the outside. The appliance is supplied with an exhaust air hose that is connected to the back of the air conditioner and routed outside through a window or external wall to remove the warm air. A window bracket or wall flange is usually used for this, and it is necessary to drill a hole of about 150 mm diameter in the outside wall or window to connect the hose.
Hello, if the appliance is integrated into the home network (Wi-Fi), the appliance can be started remotely via the DeLonghi app. It didn't always work for us, but for the most part it worked quite well. Greetings
I have just received alternative instructions from the manufacturer on how to connect the remote control.

With this mobile monobloc air conditioner, it is possible to open the lid of the water tray to drain the condensation water. However, the appliance is not designed as standard to continuously drain the condensation water into a drain via a hose. The condensation water collects in the tray and must be drained manually by removing the cap at the back and allowing the water to run off. Direct connection of a hose for permanent condensation drainage is not described in the operating instructions.
As the exhaust air is channelled through the chimney and as little condensation water as possible should reach the chimney, it is recommended that the water tray is emptied regularly to minimise condensation in the exhaust air hose. A special connection for a condensation hose is not provided on this model.
The water produced during dehumidification is collected in an internal container of the appliance, which must be emptied regularly. Alternatively, a drain hose can be connected to some mobile air conditioners to continuously drain the water; please refer to the operating instructions to check whether this is possible with the model mentioned.
The appliance does not necessarily have to be positioned directly at the window, but the exhaust air hose must be routed to the outside, typically through a window, so that the warm air can be discharged. A window sealing set is usually used for this purpose to guide the hose safely and tightly out of the window. A fixed window position is therefore necessary to position the exhaust air hose correctly.
