For this mug press, do we have to use circuit transfer paper or can we print our mugs with sublimation papers that we have printed ourselves?

The brand does not specify this, so we cannot guarantee it. It is better to take the papers offered directly by the brand.

Is the application to be downloaded for the device paid or free? Is it also compatible with a phone?

The application is free and available on phone. It is free of charge, however, it says "in-app purchases" and it is possible that some of the additional content may have to be paid for.
