I bought the machine because it is Webstamp compatible. But how do I get the downloaded Webstamp PDF to the printer? Since there is no driver for the Mac, I have to use the pTouch software, but I cannot open a PDF with it.

You do not need the P-Touch software. On a Mac, very few printers need an extra driver, as the system gets the right drivers itself. Simply set up the QL-700 as a printer, just like a normal laser printer, then you can simply print the PDF from the "Preview" app on this printer (set the label format and print speed correctly, I have saved this as my print setting). This has worked for me for years without any problems.
