The plastic mixer that comes with the MUM5 as an accessory is very weak and is only suitable for liquids or semi-liquids. When blending hummus, half of the church peas remain on top as peas and the other half is only half hummus. A smaller but more efficient blender would be an advantage.

In terms of functions, the MUM5 is probably comparable, but Kitchen Aid is a professional appliance, robust, built to last, twice as heavy and at least twice as expensive as the MUM5. So, for a small pensioner household or little use, the MUM5 is OK, but for a large family and daily use (and enough money), Kitchen Aid is perfect.
