Hi I washed the new evaporator mat (by hand) and when I put it on the holder when it was dry, or even before, when I held it in my hand, a fibrous powder came out. Does anyone know what this is or had something similar and is this normal? If the filter decomposes, will the plastic fibres go into the waste water when I wet it again? In addition, the mat has shrunk during washing. Can you only put the mat on the holder when it is damp and is that why the filter is defective?

That will probably be limescale. No, I always put the mat on the holder when it's dry. But maybe you washed the mat too hot? I only wash them at 30 degrees. It doesn't shrink for me.

(1) How often does the filter have to be replaced here, as it is an accessory that has to be bought each time? (2) Is it quiet enough for use in the bedroom? (3) Is this the successor model to the E2441 (Kassensturz test winner 2019)?
