Hello, unfortunately I cannot answer the question. For me, it runs through until the water runs out. In a room of about 27 square metres, it takes quite a long time for the humidity to rise. The unit is almost too small for this size of room.
You mean add it so that it smells delicious? Well, we didn't add any oils to ours, so there's a risk that the material of the vaporiser will discolour or rub off, but hey, why not? There is officially no way to add anything to it (neither a felt pad, nor a kind of "Chächeli" for it). My opinion: at your own risk. I'd rather leave it alone.
Yes, the steam is hot. But my children have also held their fingers in the steam. Of course they thought it was hot, but they didn't get burnt.

The LB 55 is supposed to vaporise 200 (1st mode) or 400 (2nd mode) millilitres of water per hour. These are the values stated by Beurer in the German documentation; however, in our test we were able to determine values that deviated from this: Here, an average of 167 (1st mode, - 16.5 % compared to the manufacturer's specification) and 373 millilitres (2nd mode, - 6.75 % compared to the manufacturer's specification) of water per hour were consumed. We tested the effectiveness of the modes in one of our 50 square metre test rooms with a temperature of 24 °C and an original humidity of 50 %. After one hour we measured a humidity of 52.9 % (1st mode) and 54.7 % (2nd mode), after two hours 53.7 % (1st mode) and 56.5 % (2nd mode) and after three hours 54.1 % (1st mode) and 58.1 % (2nd mode).
