AVM FRITZ! repeater 600 WLAN Mesh International / CH
600 Mbit/s
The "International" version is an imported article which is not actually for the Swiss market, but in this case can still be used here.
I bought the repeater to improve reception in certain rooms, not to increase the overall capacity. If you need more capacity in general, the next higher plan would be the better solution. Tip: Ask UPC about new plan mix offers. Prices change all the time, but UPC never reports this on its own. Good luck!
no problem with us
I don't know; I would advise investing a little more for a device with separate channels for receiving the router signal and forwarding it to the PC. Because Fritzbox was no use, I bought NetGear Nighthawk. It has worked perfectly since then.
Cable = network cable? No, a repeater is the wrong device for an existing cable. A repeater receives an existing Wifi and sends it out again in a processed form. With this AVM model, you would not be able to plug in the cable at all because it does not offer the option to do so. With an existing cable, you use an access point (AP). https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/access-point-9?tagIds=7-1377 https://www.windows-guru.de/wlan-repeater-und-wlan-access-point-unterschied/
Hello. The device works with any modem. It is simply connected to the existing wifi and amplifies the signal.
The WLAN repeaters must be closer to each other, sometimes that doesn't work any better. But I might have a better idea. A WLAN mesh router. These sets consist of 2 - 3 devices and can be expanded as needed at low cost. The cheapest solution I could recommend is a Deco M4 from TP Link: Tp-Link Deco M4 AC1200 Dualband WLAN Mesh 3-pack The trick with this solution is that the WLAN of the LTE router is off and the WLAN mesh system takes over everything, DHCP server, LAN connections and the coverage is usually no longer a problem, you have WLAN reception everywhere. With each Deco device, there are also two Gbit Ethernet connections.
I don't know 100%. But wifi is still wifi. An electrical appliance plugged into a socket also works, regardless of whether it's electricity from a wind turbine or a nuclear power plant. (Sorry for the comparison!)
The Repeater 600 has no RJ45 and no WLAN connection. Nothing is mentioned in the FRITZ! specification either. The connections are mentioned in the next better version.
